Mystical Forest Adult Coloring Book: Gnomes - Fairies - Fantasy Animals and Trolls by Nathaniel Wake

Today is the last day that I will be babysitting my four-year-old granddaughter during the week because, on Friday, she starts pre-school. Wow! The last four years since her birth have flown. My mother, says that my granddaughter is my Velcro baby because we are stuck at the hip together. She is my best friend.

So, today, we watched Blippie, Paw Patrol, and read books. She loves to read. She also loves to paint and color so she will fit right in preschool. For those of you who may not know, but I also have illustrated and published six adult coloring books.

Often, my grandchildren will ask me to draw them a picture so they can color it. I've drawn spaceships, turtles, birds, and more. Sometimes, even I need a break. That's why I purchased the cutest book ever -- Mystical Forest by Nathaniel Wake. It is simply adorable filled with 25 pictures in a world of fantasy ready for my granddaughter to color.

  1. Tell your readers a little about yourself, where you grew up, where you live now, where you went to school etc. Let them get to know the personal you.
You can rework this however you see fit. Not a writer. And as you know. Writing about yourself is the hardest.

And I am not a personal guy. So that is strike one.

Nathaniel Wake knows the finer things in life are the ones that bring us joy. Here at Nathaniel Wake Publishing, we love to help others relax, express their inner creativity, and provide an outlet for others to connect with the world around them through tangible means of expression. Art therapy lives at the heart of what we do here and through our publishing of adult coloring books and digital libraries, we not only strive to serve artists in our community but provide aid for those in need. That’s why here at Nathaniel Wake Publishing a portion of all of our proceeds from these publications go to individual charities that support those with disabilities. We believe that through art, mindfulness, and expression, we can make the world a better place. One day we hope to open our own therapeutic riding center so that we may continue the good work of people helping people find peace, meaning, and happiness.

I like to call myself a Rut Buster.. not the same stuff over and over. Different genres.. different levels of challenge. But always like to bring something different and unique to the table. May not sell the greatest but nice to hear everyone say "these are unique" "These are cool"

God's Secret: The Cry of the Millennials Fast Your Way to Spiritual Truth and Freedom

Have you ever wondered if God kept secrets? I realize that question can open a can of worms, but in this next book that I have discovered, that is what the title tantalizes. Take a look at GOD'S SECRET by Bobby Sky.

It’s a quiet night as the moonlight from the cloudless sky hits the soft sand of the empty baseball field. The field is located across the street from the Samaritan Inn homeless shelter in McKinney, Texas, the breeze is cool and gentle. He walks away from the Inn toward the field, expecting. The Inn is full of battered and hopeless people from all walks of life. He walks alone toward the field, expecting. Everything in life has broken and things that seemed true couldn’t be more of a fantasy. Life has taken too much and caused too much pain. There is nothing left to lose, it’ couldn’t get any worse for this millennial. Something is going to happen, something is going to change. No cars in sight, no people chatting in the nearby apartments, and the field is completely unoccupied. The loudest noise is the gentle breeze that sweeps on the man in the cool of the brisk night. He must show up, he thinks, and he continues his thought, This is it, it’s going to happen. The man takes off his sandals and walks on the field. The sand feels soft and comforting on his feet and he begins to have the thought that has been pondering in his mind all that very day, If I draw near to him, he will draw near to me, he will show up! He begins to pace from base to base with the sand under his feet. Homeless, broke, girlfriend and parents dead, and with no hope, he only has one thought, Draw near to him, draw near to him over and over it plays like a song stuck in his mind. Pacing back and forth with the same thought over and over, Where is he? Where is he? Finally, he asks out loud to no one in visible sight, “Where are you?” and then he hears it, a whisper behind him says, “Here I am.”

Every day people suffer from mental illness which can be deliberating. What can you do about it? Seek help? Have a doctor prescribe you a medication? For some who suffer, they feel trapped and isolated. Lisa Slaton, author of REDEMPTION THROUGH FORGIVENESS: HOW GOD USED MY MENTAL ILLNESS TO SAVE ME has a different viewpoint. Diagnoses with Multiple Personality Disorder and other mental illness, she created other personalities to help her survive trauma from abusive situations in her childhood. As an adult, she came face-to-to face with them only to find that they were Christian alter-egos whom God chose to help her cope and to understand. She said the God used her, and her personalities for the better. She said, "It is when God gives me the most difficult challenge I have ever faced - forgiving my other for the immense emotional damage that she caused me, that I finally learned that I am worthy enough to let God love me and save me. Read more about Lisa and her upcoming book below.

  2. Tell your readers a little about yourself, where you grew up, where you live now, where you went to school etc. Let them get to know the personal you.
A native of Illinois, I have been a Christian for over 30 years. After graduating from Columbia College at the age of 42, I received a BA in Psychology. I have worked in the health care field since I was a teenager. I am single and live with my furbabies - six cats and two dogs.
  3. What inspired you to author this book?
I was exploring ways to use my traumatic life experiences and my struggles with mental illness to share my faith and love for God when God led me to use my talent for writing to reach out to other people.
  4. Where did you get the inspiration for your book’s cover?
I found several book cover images that I liked from going through Adobe stock images, and my publishing company helped me pick out the one that fit my story the best. I feel the cover represents my anguish and surrender to God perfectly.
  5. Who has been the most significant influence on you personally and as a writer?
The most significant influence on me personally and as a writer has not been an external person. It was the personalities that I created to help me survive abuse that gave me the strength and determination that I needed to start writing books that would reach out and inspire people, especially those with troubled lives, to reach out to a God who loves them and wants to help them.
  6. What were your struggles or obstacles you had to overcome to get this book written?
Finding time and stamina to write while working a part-time job and balancing my struggles with mental illnesses were the biggest obstacles I had to overcome to get this book written.
  7. Tell your readers about your book.
Diagnosed with Multiple Personality Disorder and other mental illnesses, I created personalities as a child to help me survive trauma and abuse. As an adult, I finally meet my adults, and discover that they are Christian alters whom God will use to help me understand His great love and mercy for me. It is when God gives me one of the most difficult challenges of my life - forgiving the person that I hate the most in the world, my mother - that I finally learn how to accept God's forgiveness and salvation.

  8. Who is your target audience, and why?
My target audience is anybody with mental illness, depression, abuse, or any kind of trauma in their background - anybody who is struggling to forgive people who have hurt them - any person who feels unloved and unworthy - people who need the love and mercy and help of God.
  9. What do you consider your greatest success in life?
My greatest success in life was turning my mental illnesses over to God and allowing Him to use my illnesses for His purposes and His glory, which enabled me to write this book and the subsequent sequel that will follow.
  10. What one unique thing sets you apart from other writers in your genre?
While there are many books on the market about forgiveness, and books about Multiple Personality Disorder, I have not found any other book that puts the two together, and where the personalities created are Christian alters who are used by God to help show His love and mercy to the person who created the alters. This book is a unique perspective on how everything can be used by God for His glory and His purpose, including mental illness.
