I had a pretty exciting day flying from New Orleans to California and I am happy to say I love being in Cali. The weather is awesome and everyone I have met has been wonderful and gracious. I met several people face to face that I have only known through Facebook and social media so that was exciting.
Tomorrow is going to be just as busy as I have interviews and visitations with friends.

The story goes like this: While on pregnancy bed rest, Lauren Dane had plenty of down time so her husband took her comments about “giving that writing thing a serious go” to heart and brought home a secondhand laptop. She wrote her first book on it before it gave up the ghost. Even better, she sold that book and never looked back.
You have numerous books and in different genres, what barriers did you face with your fan base when you crossed genres?
The only real issue is clearly signaling to the reader what type of story this is. That's done with a combination of cover art and blurb text.
What inspired you to author this book?
A taxi ride in Las Vegas.
Where did you get the inspiration for your book’s cover?
That's down to the wonderful art department at Carina Press / Harlequin. I give them ideas but they turn them into art.
Who has been the biggest influence on you personally and as a writer?
The Norwalk Public Library.
