The Dropout Multi-Millionaire: 37 Business Lessons on How to Succeed in Business With No Money, No Education and No Clue

The Dropout Multi-Millionaire: 37 Business Lessons on How to Succeed in Business With No Money, No Education and No Clue Paperback – May 1, 2021

37 Business Lessons you need to learn to put yourself on the path to business success.

Businesses fail for a lot of reasons. The biggest one, however, is the owner's lack of understanding of their personal decision-making skills, who they are, or who they should be inside their organization.
Running a business is both an art and a science. If you are only good at one of them, or in the worst case, neither, you will most likely become one of the 65% of people who fail.

  • Every month 500,000 new businesses start in America.
  • 150,000 of those will not survive the first twelve months.
  • After five years, only 175,000 will still be in business—that's a 65% failure rate.

Author Brian Will, became a multi-millionaire at the age of forty, with no formal education, no money, and no clue what he was doing when he started.

In The Dropout Multi-Millionaire, Brian shares his personal stories of success and failure spanning the last thirty-five years as he teaches you the 37 Business Lessons he learned along the way.
Ultimately, your success or failure is dependent on your ability to accept your weaknesses, put aside your ego, and learn to become who you need to be to succeed.
This book was written for people who want to:

  • Start a business.
  • Operate a business with less time while earning more profit.
  • Learn how to grow and scale an existing business.
  • Maybe even one day sell their business and walk away with a windfall exit.

Brian Will is a serial entrepreneur who has created or co-created six very successful companies in four different industries over the last thirty-five years. His first foray into owning his own business was a 10-year stint in the landscaping industry that he started when he was twenty years old. This was followed by three online internet companies during the boom of the late nineties and early 2000s.

The first was an online health insurance website and call center that was eventually sold to a venture capital company in Silicon Valley and today is one of the largest online Medicare insurance platforms in the US.

The second was an online “lead generation” company in the subprime credit space that was sold to a private equity firm out of Chicago.

The third was another online health insurance website and call center that was sold to another venture capital company in Silicon Valley and today is one of the largest individual state health insurance exchange platforms.

These four exits were followed by several years of consulting projects for both private and public companies in the field of sales and management training.

Although he tried to quit working on multiple occasions, it just wasn’t in his nature to sit back and do nothing.

Today Brian owns a growing chain of restaurants in the Atlanta area while he splits his time between the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, and Clearwater Beach, Florida.

He is also the very proud father of two adult children.

Having traveled to 25+ countries around the world, Brian considers himself a world-traveler, adventure seeker, and adrenaline junkie, but will always be a sucker for a McDonald’s coke and some fries.

             Describe your style.

My Style is a cross between gospel and pop. My genre is Christian.

Who or what has been your greatest influence on your style?

I grew up listening to Whitney Houston, Back Street Boys and Kirk Franklin. Along the way, I fell in love with Hillsong, which was my introduction to pop and rock. Hence the eclectic blend I have going with my music.

How did you get started in your career?

I have been singing for as long as I can remember and leading worship in Church. I initially released my first album in 2010 and took a long hiatus until 2020. Covid gave me a lot of time on my hands, and I plunged back into avid songwriting and decided to relaunch my career as an Artist as music is my passion.

What struggles or barriers did you face or are you facing to promote yourself and your work?

I believe that one of my major struggles is being an independent artist. Making and promoting music costs a lot of money, so I need to fund it. I am a Consultant and Executive Coach by day, as well as a wife and mother. Balancing all of these as well as giving my career as an Artist the attention and exposure it deserves, is a constant challenge.

What life lessons have you learned and how have they influenced your style?

I have had the unfortunate experience of losing both my parents and some of my siblings as a child and young adult. Thus the fragility of life is a real experience for me. Therefore I am heavily focused on living purposefully, cherishing my relationship with God, family and people because we aren't here for an infinite amount of time.

Where can someone see a sample of your work.

Author and Screenwriter Dr. Melissa Caudle’s Script “The Creek Dweller in the Bayou” Wins at the 1st Monthly Film Festival for Animation Script

Dr. Melissa Caudle’s children’s book, “The Creek Dweller in the Bayou,” becomes an animation film script and won the 1st Monthly Film Script.

Los Angeles, CA – May 5, 2021 – For author and screenwriter Dr. Melissa Caudle, writing comes easy for her. “I love to write, and writing children’s fiction has always been close to my heart,”  says Caudle, who has published dozens of award-winning children’s books, fiction novels, and how-to books for screenwriters, authors, and filmmakers. Her love shows in her latest children’s book, “The Creek Dweller in the Bayou,” as it makes its way to a bestselling book. However, that wasn’t enough for Caudle. With the help of her seven grandchildren, ages four to eighteen, they penned The Creek Dweller in the Bayou during a family camping trip. Caudle says, “I won’t ever forget that night. We were all sitting around a campfire at Jellystone Park when a raccoon came up. At first, all of the children were frightened. With a little coaxing, all calmed down. Then, my grandchildren asked me to make up a story. So, we did it together.”

“The Creek Dweller in the Bayou” tells the story of seven cousins who went to visit their grandmother in Louisiana. Based on her grandchildren, the children in the story come across a magical creature in the bayou for a fun-filled adventure. “The challenge was not writing the book or publishing it since I own Absolute Author Publishing House, “ Caudle says. “The challenge was finding an illustrator who could capture the essence of my grandchildren in cartoon form.” One thing led to another to the point where Caudle, an award-winning screenwriter, and author, adapted the book into a children’s animation script. “I never once thought it would take on the traction it has,” Caudle says. “It’s very exciting to see something your grandchildren helped design and write come to fruition in book form. But, to see it become an animation film will be something else.”

After Charlie Brown, producer with 311 Studios and Caudle, who are collaborating with other film projects, found out about the script and the book The Creek Dweller in the Bayou, she encouraged Caudle to enter it into festivals and screenwriting contests. “You can imagine my surprise when I found out the script won. I owe Charlie for this encouragement,” Caudle says.

Caudle and Brown are collaborating on Ombre Ma Fi, Dead Soldier, Never Stop Running, and A.D.A.M. The Beginning of Life to create sizzle reels to obtain funding. They recently filmed in New Orleans, LA, for the Ombre Ma Fi series, written and directed by Brown through 311 Studios owned by Brown, and On the Lot Productions, which is own by Caudle. “This is a match made in Heaven,” Brown says. “We balance each other so well to be such strong women in the film industry. We know our wheelhouses and use them to our advantage.”

Brown and Caudle look forward to a long filming relationship as they have five projects in the works and have more scripts in the pipeline.

The Creek Dweller in the Bayou is available in eBook, paperback, and hardback. “I can’t wait for the animation film to come out and share it with my grandchildren. I hope this experience has encouraged them to keep writing, publishing, and one day discover the film industry.

Author of "Your Next Big Idea: Improve Your Creativity and Problem-Solving" (2021)
So, what makes me someone to learn about the creation of ideas from? Throughout my career, I have seen how the idea process works in all different sized companies. I have started multiple startups both as part of a team and by myself. One of the companies I was a co-founder of was Wundershirt, which at its peak sold athletic training clothing to Olympic athletes prepping for the 2016 Olympics. During the startup growth process, I have been part of multiple incubators and have watched and observed how many startups came to be. I also have worked for a company that was part of the INC 5000 fastest growing companies. Here I was selected to be a part of the R&D team to help work towards developing new products. Working at a fast-growing company you can see how the ideas come to be and problems are handled by members of a successful small business team.
Finally, I have worked on business development for a company part of Fortune’s Future 50 list and Fortune’s Fortune 500 list.
In my career, I have been watching and creating ideas for all levels of business from the startup phase, to the high-growth phase, and even for large companies.
This has allowed me to have a unique perspective on the idea process and allowed me to look at the whole idea of creativity, problem-solving, ideation and innovativeness from an angle that most people have not seen.
While most of the time I am at work when I am not working though you probably can find me at an amusement park, playing board games or drinking coffee from a local coffee shop.
