However, TJ needs help responding to his name and saying words. He notices that other kids in his class can say more words than he can, but he never feels bad about it. TJ’s mommy and daddy teach him that everyone learns at their own pace. They encourage him to appreciate his unique skills. This motivates him to keep trying to communicate better every day. With the help of his parents and teachers at daycare, TJ not only learns to tell others when he is hungry or thirsty, he also learns his name.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Shara Hutchinson is a TEDx speaker and mom who had to conquer infertility to have a child. After over six rounds of Clomid, two miscarriages, two laparoscopic surgeries, one D&C, two failed IVF cycles, one failed FET, and an ectopic pregnancy, she was finally able to have her son, TJ, from her third IVF cycle (fourth embryo transfer).
Her son, TJ, experienced a speech delay and had challenges responding to his name at his 2nd birthday. After having him start speech therapy, getting him enrolled in daycare, and implementing a more structured schedule at home, TJ started responding to his name and saying more words. This process inspired her to write this book to teach children with and without speech delays that everyone learns at their own pace.
Shara is passionate about inspiring and encouraging women who are struggling with infertility to pursue and achieve motherhood despite the many challenges they may face.
