Tell your readers a little about yourself, where you grew up, where you live now, where you went to school, etc. Let them get to know the personal you.

I live in the United Kingdom with my husband and children, however; I grew up in the country of Nigeria, West Africa. I also completed a lot of my schooling there before moving to the United Kingdom over 20 years ago.

As a little girl, I attended Church regularly and was brought up with beliefs that are in line with Biblical principles. I remember, with fond memories, several Church activities that I took part in at Sunday School, as a girl guide. These were experiences which enriched my life greatly and helped shape me for adulthood.

I also developed a love of reading at a very tender age and would devour books almost from the time I could read. Reading became a passion of mine and remains so till today.
I grew up in an era when we were able to have great interactions with extended family members and spent time with neighbors and friends without fears of danger, as such. Nowadays, I know things are a bit different the more that Society has changed.

My upbringing, interestingly, and now that I think about it, was all geared towards preparing my siblings and I for the future. To enable us to live independent lives; not to be a drain on Society, and to be able to contribute to its development. As a child, one did not always see or appreciate the big picture, of course.

At School, I was a prefect at both the primary and secondary school levels and, at the University, I was the president of my Engineering Students’ Association. This helped to further develop my leadership instincts and skills for which the foundation had been laid at home and in the various activities I had participated in.

In adulthood, I have also enjoyed a successful career with over 20 years of management and leadership experience working in the financial services and business development industries. I hold a first degree in Engineering and an MBA (International) postgraduate degree. I am married to a wonderful man, and the union is blessed with wonderful children. And for this I give glory to God.

What inspired you to author your book?

THE ROAD TO VALUE is not my first book. I have authored several other books before this. My first book titled; WINNING BUSINESS STRATEGIES was published about 10 years ago. And the others came thereafter. I write generally about business strategies and on self-help topics that Empower people. That is my passion.

My latest book, THE ROAD TO VALUE, is no different. It is based on a desire to inspire and empower people to pursue their purpose and achieve their dreams and goals.

I speak at conferences, facilitate workshops, and train leaders (both existing & aspiring leaders). My specialty is in leadership development, peak performance, and improved productivity. As a result, I often come across people with great dreams and visions, but who require support in the achievement of their goals.

I am also the host of a purpose-driven conference themed, INCREASE YOUR VALUE. This initiative has been quite successful as it has helped many people (both male and female) to overcome their fears, obstacles, challenges or whatever was holding them back and to press forward to achieve their goals. We have had some fantastic testimonials from attendees.

I also pioneered a platform which has been running for a few years called POTENTIAL UNWRAPPED. What we do here is help people to discover the potential in their ideas or concepts and to see whether it can be applied anywhere and if so, we would draw up a plan of why, where and how it can be applied to create maximum value for all.

I also co-created a platform for developing Future Leaders. This is an engagement program with the aim of developing youths into potential leaders. Youths who can grow up into accountable and responsible adults.

These, and many more of my activities and experiences all form the basis and the inspiration for the book, THE ROAD TO VALUE.

Where did you get the inspiration for your book’s cover?

Ah. The book’s cover. That is another story on its own. I could probably author a book on that experience. I probably drove my designers round the bend in trying to achieve my vision for the book cover. In the end, I had 3 or 4 designers working on the design and I kept describing what it was that I wanted and the kind of feeling that I want to invoke in people when they see the cover. But, beyond that, I wanted the cover to depict what the book stands for and the message I want it to convey. The designers worked hard, and we got a great result in the end.

Who has been the most significant influence on you personally and as a writer?

Without a shadow of doubt, this would have to be God. He is my creator and my inspiration always. The inspiration for this book and for other great things I have achieved in my life goes to Him.

What were your struggles or obstacles you had to overcome to get this book written?

Thanks to God, I never really had any obstacles in authoring this book. As I stated earlier, the inspiration to write came from God and His Grace continues to be sufficient. The only struggle I experienced was in letting the manuscript go for publishing. I kept on wanting to write more and more until first, my husband and then my publisher said, “you do know that there is such a thing as a sequel?” So, even though there were still thoughts swirling around in my head, I finally let it go. Watch out for a sequel, if the Lord wills.

Tell your readers about your book.

Who is your target audience, and why?

The book is aimed at people of all ages and gender. People who live in any geographical location and engage in any type of vocation. Regardless of their background, religion, race, etc.

The reason for this is that everyone needs to learn about value. Everyone needs to understand, or if they already do, refresh their minds about the incredible difference it can make to their lives and the lives of other people who they come into contact with. Inevitably, the world will become a better place if we all adopt a lifestyle that incorporates value. Societal ills will be corrected, to a large extent, and there will be less ambiguity and confusion especially for the younger generation who seem to be getting mixed messages about what success is and what is and is not acceptable.

If you were going to give one reason for anyone looking at your book to read, why should they buy it?

If there is still something you are hankering after in life, if, there is any little chance that you are not deeply satisfied with where you are or what you have achieved or even where you seem to be headed, then you will do well to read this book. And even for anyone who believes that they have arrived and they have everything that they need in life and that there is nothing else to aspire to, reading this book will surprise you. And, I can assure you that it will be a pleasant surprise. There is a purpose to life. Every life matters. This book is an eye-opener.

What do you consider your greatest success in life?

I like to think of life as a progressive journey that continues until the last breath is drawn. In saying that, by the special grace of God, I have been able to achieve a lot of things that I have desired. With my family, in career, in my God-given purpose, as well as a whole lot of other things I have not mentioned, I have experienced the blessings of God.

What one unique thing sets you apart from other writers in your genre?

I would not like to say that there is one thing or another which sets me apart. What I believe is that every writer has their message and a purpose for doing what they do. I can, however, talk about my own message. This is driven by a purpose and a passion to impart the knowledge which I have acquired over time and to impact lives by empowering others. If that message is coming across, and if more people are living more purposeful lives and realizing their dreams than not, then I would say that I am succeeding in my quest.

How do you overcome writer’s block?

That’s an easy one for me, really. I do not write when I am not inspired. I can honestly say that with all my literary efforts, once I am inspired, it is actually difficult to stop writing. Maybe those moments when I am not inspired to write would represent what some people refer to as a writer’s block. Maybe.

What one piece of advice do you have for new authors?

For anyone who wants to embark on writing, or has already started, from my own experience, I would encourage them to establish the reason why they are writing. From the onset, understand what your message is meant to achieve as well as your audience. What impression do you want to leave with them, and how would they be better off by reading what you wrote? Whenever you publish anything, it is no longer about you. It is now about your intended audience and the impact it will have on them. THINK ABOUT YOUR AUDIENCE AND THE DIFFERENCE YOU AIM TO MAKE.

Tell your readers anything else you want to share.

It has been a privilege to be able to write all these years, and for that, I am grateful to God and also appreciate my loyal readers who I am inspired to write for. Life is a precious gift from God. We owe it to ourselves to live it intentionally and to maximize every given opportunity and potential and to make the world a better place than how we met it.

Les Brown said, “The graveyard is the riches place on earth because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take that first step, keep with the problem, or determined to carry out their dream.”

Live life in such a way that, not only do you fulfill all your dreams and potential but also, in such a way that someone, somewhere can be positively impacted because you lived.

BEHIND SUNRISE

Today I am presenting to you a wonderful author, Elsabet Ademe, who I have gotten to know over the last couple of months as we worked together to get her book, "Behind Sunrise" finished. It's not often as an editor and publisher that I encounter someone that under different circumstances I know we would have met and become friends. I was honored with the task of editing this book and believe me when I say it is action-packed and a suspense thriller, it is more than that. It brought out so many emotions in me as I felt by the end I knew the protagonist. That is difficult to do for a first-time author. I hope you enjoy learning about the book and getting to know Elsabet Ademe.

Behind Sunrise: Based on a True Story Kindle Edition

She has one problem – her family will not allow it. So when Sarah overhears the man who drives her to school talking about human smuggling, her ears perk up. Weeks later, she escapes through her window at 3:00 a.m. to embark on a journey that dramatically changes her life. With little information from her transporters, Sarah travels the perilous off-road paths toward Sudan in the care of suspicious and increasingly cruel men. As they travel, a menagerie of interesting characters enters and exits Sarah’s life. The desperate circumstances bring out the worst in some, and the incredibly good in others. A bond forms between a group of travelers, offering Sarah some semblance of safety – and family – amidst the treacherous conditions.. Arriving in Sudan, Sarah finds work and saves money for what she thought would be the most dangerous leg of the journey - the long trek through the Sahara Desert and into Libya. Tell your readers a little about yourself, where you grew up, where you live now, where you went to school, etc. Let them get to know the personal you.

Elsabet Ademe, I was born in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia, one of the most beautiful cities, and as a teenager, I embarked on the most dangerous journey of my life – traveling the treacherous smugglers’ route toward the West. I traveled as an illegal immigrant. I lived in several countries and worked in each one to save money. I was working toward a life goal–making it to the United States to pursue a career in film. I was persistent and made that dream come true. I lived in United States for the past eleven years. I became a U.S. citizen, and after graduating from the New York Film Academy, I became an actor, writer, and producer with an active career in Los Angeles.

What inspired you to author this book?

Behind Sunrise, is based on a true story. I witnessed the event. I was one of the victims. It took me more than ten years to author this book. I didn’t have the courage to say all of this unexpected experience. But I realize how many people I will save and teach. Firs for the people, who wants to travel illegal to think about twice before they put their foot in dangerous situations. Second, I want to show people, the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Especially in this time a lot of young teenagers, and adults when I see them giving up from on their dreams. I want to show them, there is light after a dark event. The most important thing I want to show a lot of immigrants who were traveling country to country to open their eyes, if they work hard on their beloved country, they can make their dream come true, instead of putting their life in danger. Also, especially for a young female, they have to protect their self before bad things happen to them. Or after they got ruined how they can get recover from the trauma, forget their past start new life with a positive energy. I’m not saying it’s easy to forget, but if they live in their past, they kill their today and their future.

Where did you get the inspiration for your book’s cover?

Finding the right cover page was so hard. I couldn’t find the visual I have in my mind to bring it out in real world on picture. So I was looking for the early in the morning, sunrise picture, to show the positive way of life, because before the sunrise it gets really dark and after a couple of hours starts the sunrise. That teaches us to be passion, motivation and determination. So after that I decided to add the mean characters picture to help the reader to get a visual.

Who has been the most significant influence on you personally and as a writer?

Tennessee Williams, most of his play is based on a true story. It has a lot of drama, thrillers, suspense. He is writing methods to influence my writing. most of his story starts what he knows and what he sawed. That helped me to open up to author this book!

What were your struggles or obstacles you had to overcome to get this book written?

For this question I can go on and on, but I want to give the short version answer. This might help a lot of people, they can do anything on this planet, if they put their time, determination and if they know what they want. Because anything is possible.
I started authoring this book 10 years ago in my first language, Amharic. After I wrote 120 pages, I decided not to write it. Then I deleted. However I started writing again 8 years ago, still in Amharic, for about 80 pages, but again I couldn’t do it so I deleted. Then I promised myself not to think about authoring this story.

Four years ago I got a phone call from one of my friends who traveled in this horrible journey. He told me all of his story about his experience. After that conversation I started reaching out to people, I know who traveled illegal, asked their experience. I became more awareness about the story. Since then I tried my best to reach as many people as I can. So 3 years ago I took a vacation by myself to lesson myself. What do I need to author this book? Why I’m scared to author this story? What’s stopped me not to tell the world? That self-absorbs helped me to get the answer for all my questions.

So, after I turned from my vacation, I started authoring this book the next day. I even started writing in English language. The journey it was difficult especially with the language because English is my second language. But with a help of a lot of wonderful people, I did it.

Healing the Planet from Within

Tell your readers a little about yourself, where you grew up, where you live now, where you went to school etc. Let them get to know the personal you.

I grew up in Canada but now live in Australia. I've been nomadic since 2015.

What inspired you to author this book?

The essence of this book came to me when I was studying Counselling and Psychology at University. You see, I had a friend who worked intimately with Lazaris (a channelled entity) and how he guides people to realise their thought patterns and sabotaging core beliefs. I worked with my friend on a particular issue of mine for about two years as we explored the depth of a core belief. When we finally solved that mystery, I could look at it for what it was -- we did the transformation. After that, my life changed. All the habitual negative patterns of my mind around that issue vanished, and I felt so much freer to form deep and meaningful friendships. Since then this has expanded in my beingness. I didn't realise the impact so much until I was studying at University and noticed how the work with thoughts and beliefs were similar - they positively changed people's lives. I was inspired to take this to the next level. How much could a person step into a positive life? Then I discovered Barbara Frederickson's work on Positivity, in positive psychology. I started activating the 10 forms of positivity in my daily life - and WOW - what a difference it made! I didn't have to feel stuck in bouts of anxiety and depression any more. I could simply choose to activate a positivity and the negativity vanished. One simply can not hold depression and joy in the physical body at the same time. THEN, I thought - well, if this feels so good for me what would it be like if everyone around the world knew how to do this!!! If everyone around the world knew that they no longer had to be stuck in their personal template of negative thoughts and feelings and sabotaging core beliefs - if they had a CHOICE to live a life they loved, and feel happy and satisfied in every moment. AND knew how to activate feelings of JOY, LOVE and PEACE within their physical body.... well, the world would be a different place. The research on positivity is amazing and I dedicate a very simple website to this knowledge: https://PositivityforBetterLiving.com

Where did you get the inspiration for your book’s cover?

This is an interesting question. I guess this book cover just evolved. I wanted a visual to help people understand the concept of this project.

Who has been the most significant influence on you personally and as a writer?

India was a significant influence. I was in Rishikesh, India doing my Yoga Teacher Training and seeking knowledge of higher consciousness last year (August-December 2019). I was absolutely fascinated by the 8 Limbs of Patanjali and how it clearly describes and step-by-step journey to self-realisation and enlightenment.

What were your struggles or obstacles you had to overcome to get this book written?

It took me about two years to write this book. I was a single parent at the time, studying at University and working as a tutor and sessional staff at University, and learning how to build websites to share my work with the world. So, most of my writing was done during this time period.

Tell your readers about your book.

When I read bits of my book today I see how much I could improve on it. I've expanded my journey so much since writing it. I've evolved. But I've decided to leave the book in it's original format and instead focus on trying to get the message out into the world on Instagram. So, it's become a project of mine to inspire people to really love their life and activate as many forms of positivity as they feel to.

Most interestingly is that, when lockdown first occurred, I found myself living in a tent in nature for two months and made an online course to help people understand and practice this way of living. I called the course: Mysteries of a Modern Mystic 21-Day Online Course. I've been running the course for the past three months; we start on the 1st of each month. Student reviews have been amazing as the content is really quite eye opening and experiential - so they're getting the changes they desire in life.

The next step along my journey is to create a Consciousness Centre. This might be in India or Australia, I haven't got a clear message with it as yet.

Who is your target audience, and why?

I find that women between the ages of 30 and 50 mostly resonate with my book and my project.

What do you consider your greatest success in life?

That would be a lengthy answer. My life has been very fascinating. But one greatest thing in my life that I'd like to share with you now is the birth of my daughter. It was a home birth and was the most beautiful moment of my life - the first time, this lifetime, that I experienced unconditional love.

What one unique thing sets you apart from other writers in your genre?

I haven't really thought this through.
