Teacher in Control: A complete classroom organization guide Paperback – 23 October 2022

As educators, the classroom is our stage. It is a hub for collaboration and interactivity; an environment that should be both comfortable and challenging. The classroom must reflect how an educator intends to organize and teach students, while encouraging both independence and collaboration. How a classroom is organized, how it is managed, and how the students learn goes hand-in-hand. Those bulging cupboards, piles of neglected books, or disorganized art supplies can dramatically impact student learning. There is a symbiotic nature to any successful classroom, propped up by the pillar of organization.

Educators looking to change or enhance their mindset to create a product learning environment will find tools, tips, and real-world experiences in this helpful guide. With important topics such as how to purge your books and library, decluttering papers, and what to do with the sentimental stuff, this book provides everything that teachers can use to organize even the most tenured of classrooms! Helping you to save time, understand the importance of a decluttered mind, and improve your mindset towards classroom organization and management, Teacher in Control: A Complete Classroom Organization Guide by Sylvia Skinner will help you to flourish into an effective educator with simple changes to your space. ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Sylvia Skinner

I love to teach, don't you? For 20+ years, I've taught primary, led a school as principal while teaching Foundation for 5 years. Now I'm teaching Visual Arts to primary and high school students. I earned my Education degree, with hons in ESL, back in 1998, in Perth, WA.

After teaching in Australia for several years, I went overseas to teach in the Solomon Islands as part of our Christian mission.

While there, we built a school, and I was asked to become principal. I trained teachers how to set up, decorate, work smart, plan and organize their classroom, so they could teach like a champion.  I did this while, creating curriculum, school budgeting, training an accountant, teaching my own class of kiddos full-time. Thats when I had to learn to work smart.

The school became popular because the Year 6 students graduated in the top 10% alongside students from the international school, who access the limited High School spots for the top 20% primary school graduates.

I met many teachers who worked for zero or very little. So, 50% of the profit from this book directly helps teachers in need in the Solomon Islands.
