I am the Ethnic Coordinator at the
Greater New York Conference. I grew up in Haiti. Now I live in New York. I
oversee 22 churches and groups in New York. I use to preach the Gospel in the
US and in Canada. I studied at Andrews University, Michigan and at Montemorelos
University at Mexico. I hold a PhD and also Doctorate degree in Ministry, DMin.
I am an Advisor at Andrews University for the DMin program.
What
inspired you to author your book?
I
had a burden. So many people are leaving the churches. I think that one of the
main reasons is because we did not follow the word of Jesus regarding Discipleship.
Where
did you get the inspiration for your book’s cover?
I
was thinking about someone, alone, far for the noisy world, ready to listen to
God’s voice.

were your struggles or obstacles you had to overcome to get this book written?
Time
was my biggest challenge. I am very busy. I had to fight to find time to write
this book.

My
greatest is to able to help people to change their perspective in this life.

I
talk on discipleship on a very particular angle.

do that by taking a pause and I walk.

Robert J. Charles, PhD, DMin has been involved in ministry for over 30 years, helping adults, young people, and children transform their lives by God’s grace. He was an Administrator of the SDA Church, Dean of the Theological Seminary. Currently, he is an Ethnic Ministries Coordinator at the Greater New York Conference SDA Church and Advisor at Andrews University for the Doctor of Ministry Program. His passion is saving souls for Jesus and training others for God’s glory. He and his loving wife, Gina, work as a team and have three growing children, Ginaldy, David and Dani.
