Tell your readers a little
about yourself, where you grew up, where you live now, where you went to school
etc. Let them get to know the personal you.
I grew up in a town on the Danube River. Its name is Vidin, and it is one of the most beautiful towns in Bulgaria. In my childhood, during the long walks along the river, I dreamt of interesting places, and interesting stories and I guess that is the reason I decided to create one. Later on, when I moved to London, I forgot about my writing inspiration. I guess you all know London is a fast-paced place. But then Covid came and guess what I had to spend the winter with my husband in our mountain villa in Bulgaria. There with our seven kitties, the stories started to pop up again.
What inspired you to author this book?
One great love story and one interesting summer made me write this book. All the emotions from that period of my life were so vivid that I decided to share them with the world. For those of you who have not visited the beautiful Balchik Castle in Bulgaria, I can guarantee it is beautiful. Situated on the seaside, its garden is marvelous during spring, summer, and autumn and its walls carry the memories of so much mystery and beauty.
Where did you get the inspiration
for your book’s cover?
The
inspiration for the book cover came from the Balchik Castle itself. Actually, a
friend of mine made the pictures, and then the book cover was almost ready. I
cannot say how thankful I am.

Who
has been the most significant influence on you personally and as a writer?
At every crucial stage
of my life, I have received support from women. I mean every time when I had to
make an important decision, to change my place of residence or advance in my
career a woman was there to help me. I guess that is the reason why I like
strong women as book personalities.
As a writer, I have been influenced by Lucinda Riley's books and I have to
say that the Italian Girl is my favorite. I read it for two days, staying in
my London house and vigorously turning the book pages. I love such stories that
keep you interested till the very end.
What
were the struggles or obstacles you had to overcome to get this book written?
I had to choose
between my home office, UK-Bulgaria time difference and I had to find time to
write. So, I made my schedule. Every weekday I was working from 9 am to 7 pm and was writing the book from 8 pm till midnight and sometimes up to 3 am. I
finished the first draft in a month. Thank God my husband was with me taking
care of the heating and most of the housework chores.
After finishing that first draft I started with the revisions. At that stage, the website of Balchik Municipality helped me a lot with the factual side of
the stories. The same applies to the Bulgarian Naval history publications that
made me able to stick to the facts. And yes, I am not kidding about that I had
to read a couple of books about the life of Queen Mary of Romania - a historical
personality, famous for her political and diplomatic skills and passion for a lavish lifestyle. The book "Later Chapters of My Life: The Lost Memoir of
Queen Mary of Romania" gave me interesting details about the life of that
historical figure.

Tell
your readers about your book.
The book tells the
stories of three different women. Even though they have lived in different
times, it is their fight for the men they are in love with that connects their
destinies in one. In the book, different historical circumstances and periods
are intermingled and it all finishes with a modern love story. It is filled
with detailed descriptions of characters, places, and events and it all starts
with one innocent trip to the Bulgarian Black Sea coast...
Who
is your target audience, and why?
My target audience is romance lovers. In my opinion, there is no specific age for that. A person
either loves to read about love or not. So, if you are a historical romance
lover that is the book for you.

What
do you consider your greatest success in life?
My family is the best
that could happen to me. My husband is a supportive guy, who even helped with
the research for the book. When I said I will write a book, he simply said
let's do it. And now when he reads it, he says that it is great and that I have
written a really interesting story. A big shout-out to this incredible guy!
What
one unique thing sets you apart from other writers in your genre?
A realistic way of
writing, witty comments. Well, I guess that says it all!
