Ah, so good! I loved the witchy vibes and never-ending secrets. This book takes star-crossed lovers to a new level. Smith does a great job of keeping you guessing at every turn while also building a world of fantasy hidden by shadows and different dimensions. Vivica's constant struggle kept me turning every page just so I could root for her! No spoilers, but Melantha was definitely my favorite in the end. Can't wait to see what happens next!

Although this work feels disjointed at the beginning, it pulls you in quickly. VA Smith has a way of fleshing out the characters and landscapes with interesting diction and details that allow for a thorough mental image. This book is entertaining, for sure. I love the depth of the love between Vivica and Nils. It's one that transcends corporeal existence. Makes you think about what's next for all of us.
