I really loved the mindfulness section because I use mindful techniques in my daily life. I hope my friend will try the ones in this book.
I think it's a great book for those in recovery. The sections are small, so reading is easy to read a bit at a time. The worksheet section and journal pages are also great.
I’m still giving this four stars because the writing is decently clean and the concepts are certainly sound, it’s just that nothing seems original.

In some respects, the book doesn't stand out from similar ones that discuss breaking free from addiction or making fundamental life changes: there's a commitment to improvement, an action plan divided into stages, tools, support groups, and so on.
So what sets it apart? What's the special value of the book? In my opinion, it's authenticity and truth. This is the book's greatest asset. Andrew himself went through the journey described in returning to life. Let's add - a challenging journey! Andrew's story truly happened, which makes it even more impactful for those trapped in various addiction. If Andrew – a genuine, not fictional person – managed to return to life, then it's possible for others too.
If you're at rock bottom, you'll learn how to resurface. If you're already on the surface, this book will serve as a kind of warning for you. Andrew, thank you for this wonderful, authentic guide (workbook) to returning to life!

This is like a guide that trully understand the problem and try to give you a right track in your daily fight. In my opinion the author has a lot of experience in this field, the book is written in a clear way, so that everyone can easily work with it and No matter if you abuse drugs, alkohol or sugar - it can really help in all addiction fields.
