This is a book that contains an accumulation of lessons that I have learned after almost 50 years in the strategic marketing consulting business. It is based on my personal experiences with over 1000 different clients in more than 1500 product or service categories. The book is broken out into sections by functional area such as management, marketing, social media, finance, sales, consulting, marketing research and promotion.

career. In 1973, he began a 45-year
career in the consulting industry, specializing in helping large and small
companies with marketing, marketing research, new product development, and for
11 years web marketing, social media and
digital marketing. He recently retired
from SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) to go back to his roots doing
strategic marketing and focus groups as founder of ENCORE Strategic Business
Consulting (www.encorestrategic.com). He has written seven books about various
marketing topics and has taught in graduate school in several universities,
most recently the Stern School of NYU.
