ABOUT THE AUTHOR

At this time in my life, I am working online as a technical writer. I decided to write this eBook “Survival and an Unexpected Life.” I survived kidney cancer at age 40 and at age 61 had emergency surgery in Egypt for bowel cancer. These two cancers are over a 27-year period. I survived and this led to a very Unexpected life. Dealing with life challenges can be hard and at times you need to seek inner strength.

I left a secure job in Australia of 17 years at age 51, started my own business that led to working in Papua New Guinea, Mali West Africa and Egypt. During this time, I married and now live in the Philippines. I experienced one of the biggest storms to make landfall, Typhoon Yolanda where over 7000 people lost their lives in Tacloban, Leyte, Philippines. I just felt this is a story I needed to tell!
