40 Days and 40 Nights of Fasting


 
If I ever needed to go to the beach it was this week, but I couldn't. Sigh! However, I couldn't let things get me down when my computer went on the blink during an important editing and formatting emergency. Of course it did. Any way, I am waiting on my new computer to arrive. In the meantime, I want to introduce you to a book by Mya Sanders called "40 Days and 40 Nights of Fasting." I think you will find it and the author interesting.

Mya Sanders was baptized and received Jesus Christ at a young age. She was given many gifts and is humbly grateful for God growing them over the years. She is the author of several self-published non-fiction books and a passionate editor. She works with authors, bloggers, and writers to enhance their ideas in a way that best resonates with their target audience. She is a freelance writer for many companies.

She graduated from Wayne State University with a major in English Education and minor in Dance Education. She earned a Master's Degree in Administration Education from Capella University. She was a teacher for over twenty years and served in the military for five years.

Mya grew up in Detroit Michigan and still currently lives there. She lives there with her husband, Robin Sanders and their dog Gizmo.

What inspired you to author this book?
I always loved to write and followed in my father's footsteps as a writer.

Where did you get the inspiration for your book’s cover?
I imagined Jesus' journey in the wilderness and prayed to find modern pictures that would reflect my journey as well.

Who has been the most significant influence on you personally and as a writer?
Jesus Christ!

What were your struggles or obstacles you had to overcome to get this book written?
Honestly, the only struggle was believing I could finish the book in time. There was deadline I needed to meet.

Book Synopsis: 40 Days and Nights of Fasting is a true-life event of the author. The book follows the author 40 days and 40 nights of liquid fasting. One day Mya was crying out to Jesus requesting a change in her life. Jesus told her to fast for 40 days and 40 nights then she will receive all her answers and more. And she did. During her fast, she experienced temptation, self-discovery, deliverance, strength, and understanding.
Who is your target audience, and why?
Young adults and older because they are usually the ones with serious challenges in life and need deliverance now.

What do you consider your greatest success in life?
Graduating from military training.

What one unique thing sets you apart from other writers in your genre?
I am well rounded individual that have experienced a lot even as a middle-aged adult and believes that the best writing comes from the heart and personal experiences.
