Her latest mission is Write for Change which is LIVE on Kickstarter. This is a 4-part book series of The Adventures of Bubbly Jock Jack, starring Bubbly Jock Jack, a wild turkey. Bubbly Jock Jack confronts the tough issues of bullying, compassion, self-worth and more through humor and genuine kindness. Armstrong hopes to raise enough money to donate to foster homes, children’s charities, libraries and more.
Her book manuscripts began with ghostwriting several novels, one being for the daughter of a real-life mobster, expanding her services to compose and co-author several successful book projects.
Her book portfolio grew after she was hired by Michael Jackson’s friend to co-author and publish Behind the Gates of Neverland – Conversations with Michael Jackson, an up-close memoir about the friendship her co-author (Ray Robledo) shared with the generous, kind and often misunderstood Michael Jackson. The book remains successful as many people believe in Michael and not the untruths stimulated by greed and the media.

What inspired you to author this book?
My inspiration for the
The Adventures of Bubbly Jock Jack arose while walking the country roads
in my small-town neighborhood.
It was a quiet afternoon, just before dusk, when I heard something rustling in
the leaves. I looked up and couldn't believe my eyes. There was a rafter of
turkeys, flying up to the tree branches.
When I returned home, I immediately researched "wild turkeys sleeping in
trees." I learned that wild turkeys have poor night vision and in order to
avoid predators, they sleep in the trees. I learned so much more than that and
realized these quirky and quite intelligent birds often get overlooked in
regard to the children's book department.
Being a true crime writer, the time spent researching and writing children's
books brought a sense of balance to my brain that was often filled with crime
related topics of doom and gloom.
I did further research and discovered the proper Scottish name for a wild
turkey is a Bubbly Jock. I named my main character Jack - hence, Bubbly Jock
Jack was born.
I wanted to write for change and make a difference.
Each book in my 4-part book series touches on difficult topics that children
struggle with...bullies, self-worth, animal kindness, acceptance and healthier
food options. My goal for these books is not to be preachy but to open the
conversations with children, their parents and teachers.

Where did you get the inspiration for your book’s cover?
I recalled my favorite
books when I was a little girl. I loved bright colors and humor.
Two of the books in the 4-part series actually share a conversation with Bubbly
Jock Jack and a bossy bunny while another shares a conversation of Bubbly Jock
Jack and a misunderstood goose.
I wanted color to attract a child and humor to make them smile.

Who has been the most significant influence on you personally and as a writer?
The most significant influence on my writing career has been Little Golden Books.
I cannot pinpoint any one specific author who has inspired me, but those Little Golden Books inspired me to write my own books when I was 7 years old.
I can picture it now. I sat at the little desk in my room, cutting binder paper into 5 x 5 pieces, trying my best to bind the pages together with scotch tape. Once I had all my pages taped together I began to write my story. I drew the illustrations in pencil and usually wrote about animals.
The "books" would fall apart but I was so proud of my accomplishment.

What
were your struggles or obstacles you had to overcome to get this book written?
The obstacle I still
have to overcome is funding the books.
My mind is like a fantasyland, so writing for me is not an obstacle.
I am not an illustrator by any means, and I must pay an illustrator to create
the magical pictures I have in my mind onto paper. My latest project is a
4-part book series and I have hired the same illustrator to create a consistent
flow of pictures. As of now, the project is on hold until I can fund the
illustrations, delivery of books and marketing.
My daughter helped me create a Kickstarter Campaign to help fund the 4-part
book series. The Kickstarter ends May 7, 2021 and I have all fingers and toes
crossed the campaign will be successful. My goal is to donate these books to
children's charities, libraries and foster homes.

The Adventures of
Bubbly Jock Jack is a children's book series like no other.
There will be four children's books within the series, and each will cover a
topic that matters to children and I am hoping will matter to parents, too.

Book 1:
BUBBLY JOCK JACK AND THE THANKSGIVING FALLACY, which not only explores the
universal theme of being true to oneself and knowing your self-worth. Six to
ten-year-old fans will be introduced to the topic of kindness to animals and
plant-based options. This book is in no way "preachy" or driven by a
right or wrong way to live your life. This book is more about options our
children can be introduced to., allowing them to understand and appreciate the
differences of the human race. Most important of all is to know their
SELF-WORTH.
This book won first place in the Humor Category for children
AND second place in the Animal/Pet Category for children through Dragonfly Book
Awards!!
Book 2:
BUBBLY JOCK JACK AND THE JIVE TURKEY touches on the all too common topic of
bullies and how to deal with bullies. This story can also help bullies
understand how their actions can harm others and change their lives in a
positive way.
"No matter how educated, talented, rich or cool you believe you are, how
you treat people ultimately tells all. Integrity is everything."
Book 3:
BUBBLY JOCK JACK AND THE BOSSY BUNNY explores the cancellation culture. While
there may be times in life when we should walk away from someone abusing us or
constantly hurting us, it is important to reflect on maintaining friendships
that matter. Just because your friend simply voices a different opinion than
your own, realize that not everyone is going to agree with your opinion...and
that is okay.
Shaming others is lowering yourself to the level of a bossy pants. Be
respectful and understand when it is important to walk away.
Book 4:
BUBBLY JOCK JACK AND THE MISUNDERSTOOD GOOSE touches on the topic of treating
those who look different than us with respect. Learn about your friend's
culture and share your differences.
Never assume you know a person without taking the time to communicate. Judging
someone when you may not know what they are going through or where they came
from is unkind.
Who is your target audience, and why?
Children, parents and
teachers are my broad target audience.
But when I break down the different topics for each book, anyone who supports
taking a stand against bullies, support of animal sanctuaries, parents looking
for healthier food options for their children and those looking to help their
child find their self-worth and refusing to cancel out one another...these
books are for you.

What do you consider your greatest success in life?
I am proud of two
successes in my life.
My son and my daughter are my rocks and my reason for looking forward to every
day.

I ghostwrite for other
authors and format books to the worldwide Amazon platform.
