DR. MEL'S MESSAGE - From my novels to my other projects, no telling what you will read. This is the only place you will get to read about how I developed a screenplay into a novel and what is the driving force. I will talk about many things from films to books to acting to producing. It really will depend on where my mind takes me. I hope you will join me on this journey.
Venture into a realm where every frame is an artwork and every dialogue a profound insight. Carnian Studio's debut short comic is not just a tale—it's an experience. Crafted meticulously over a year, this gripping narrative portrays a man's battle against destiny in an exquisitely conceived fictitious world. Seamlessly weaving culture, religion, legend, and reality, it connects the past and present of our 'guilty man.' What sets this piece apart is its cinematic narrative, rendered in a distinctive pencil drawing style. Although drenched in black and white, each sketch pulsates with emotion and depth, offering a testament to the exceptional collaboration between the scriptwriter and artist. The book promises not just a compelling tale but also a peek into its genesis through appendices that unveil settings, sketches, and storyboards. This is storytelling at its finest, and I eagerly await more masterpieces from Carnian Studio.
It is a story about a man's struggle against destiny in a fictitious world. The whole story unfolds with cinematic narrative technique, which contains the culture and religion, legend and reality of the planet, and connects the truth of the planet with the present and past of this "guilty man."
This work is not shown in the style of traditional comics but in the unique style of pencil drawing. Although the whole frame is black and white, but has a good art expression.
The scriptwriter and the artist worked together for more than a year to complete this work. And the subsequent appendix will also show some of the settings, sketches, and storyboards of this work. This is the first original short comic from Carnian Studio, with more to come.
