Describe your style.
I write from my heart and my own experiences through life. The most emotion-evoking literature comes from either real experiences, real feelings, or both.
Who or what has been your greatest influence on your style?
I have many literary idols, but I use as much original style and concept as possible.
How did you get started in your career?
I began flushing out a simple idea while in college. I wrote in my spare time as a sort of catharsis. My mother is my inspiration. She is truly the most amazing person I will ever know, and so I based much of this book on her to share her with the world as a way of immortalizing her. She tragically passed before the book was published, thus did not get to see it. But I take comfort in the fact that she will not only live on through myself and my family but in the hearts and minds of all who read this story.
What struggles or barriers did you face or are you facing to promote yourself and your work?
I am not marketing or social media savvy, nor an influencer. I am finding it hard to promote to a wide audience and get more exposure for what I and many others believe is a wonderful story.
What life lessons have you learned and how have they influenced your style?
As I mentioned previously, writing this book was a catharsis for me in its early days. After my mother passed in the course of writing it, I found this to be even more true. Writing was my way of connecting to her, and knowing I was telling her story in a way helped me through the hardest time in my life.
