DR. MEL'S MESSAGE - From my novels to my other projects, no telling what you will read. This is the only place you will get to read about how I developed a screenplay into a novel and what is the driving force. I will talk about many things from films to books to acting to producing. It really will depend on where my mind takes me. I hope you will join me on this journey.
Bentley and his best friend Hachi go to the lake to spend the day. Bentley gets lost and can't find his way to the parking lot. Some friendly animals try to help him, but he is rude to them and refuses to accept their help because they are not dogs. Bentley later reunites with Hachi and learns a valuable lesson on how to treat others. Bentley later says he had a good time at the lake even though he got lost.
Kathryn was born and raised in Southern California. She has always had the desire to write children's picture books. She has two grown children who she raised on her own. When her daughter was young, she would tell made-up stories at bedtime.
This is her second children's book. In her first book, "Bentley Learns to Share," the story expresses the importance of friendship over toys.
Kathryn has a unique way of using animals in her stories so children can understand some of the social issues along with the idea of how to treat one another. Kathy is a medical coder who lives and works at home in Riverside, CA. She is currently working on her third book with Bentley as the main character.
I attached a drawing of me because I do not take good pictures.
