The Next Maxim Model

Today is a little different type of post because I am interviewing a young lady who desires to become the next Maxim Magazine model. This position isn't something that she takes lightly because she is on a mission to not only be a positive role model to young girls but to females worldwide. She has always chased her dreams and believes that being the best version of yourself is what makes you a confident woman. To achieve her new goal, she needs you and everyone else you know to vote for her as the next Maxim Magazine model. Read her interview below and learn about Jamie and how you lend support by voting for her.

Tell my readers about yourself.

Jamie and her family.

I’m a mother of two, a wife to a Coast Guardsmen and an artist at heart. When I’m not taking care of my children, cleaning, and cooking, you can find me painting galaxies and sacred geometry, practicing yoga or playing outside with my dragon staff. Here is a short video of me spinning the dragon staff.

What is a typical day like in your life?

My typical day usually begins with a good morning greeting from my four-year-old, followed by a cup a coffee and a simple breakfast. From there, we will play outside, paint or run into town for groceries. During the afternoon, I will practice yoga, work on ideas for my next painting and practice poses for modeling. Dinner soon comes around and we tend to eat together as a family on most nights. Soon after, the kids are put to bed and my husband and I have some quality time together if he is not on patrol.

What is your experience in the acting and modeling industry?

I’ve been pursuing acting and modeling since I was about eleven years old. Ten years later I landed my first big-screen movie in T.D. Jakes, Woman thou art Loosed: On the 7th Day and was able to obtain my SAG-Aftra card. I landed more serious modeling gigs when I moved to Los Angeles and really started breaking into the scene.

Why do you want to be the next Maxim girl?

I want to show women from all over the world to never let anything hold you back from what you want to pursue. Showing them that age does not matter, whether you have kids or whatever it is that you think is holding you back, if you believe in yourself and work hard, you can make your dreams and passions come true.

How can you be a role model for younger girls?

To the generations coming of age now and in the years to come, I hope to show them that confidence is key. It doesn’t matter what career path you choose, with confidence people will believe in you and you will be able to conquer anything.

How do you juggle your career with being a Coast Guard wife and mother of two young boys?

By taking naps whenever possible! Lol. Seriously though, I wouldn’t be able to do it without the support of my husband, my mom and the rest of my family and friends supporting me through the entire journey. They are the reason why I am able to chase my dreams.

As a family, we also make certain that we are involved as a family. We go to a lot of festivals, do arts and crafts, and we love to camp and go hiking. I think it is important for all of us to be outdoors.

How do people vote for you?

They can vote for me by following this link There are two options to vote. A free daily vote that uses your Facebook account. Don’t worry, they are not spamming you or sharing that you voted, just making sure you are a real person. The other is a Warrior Vote, which is a donation-based vote that benefits Jared Allens’ Home for Wounded Warriors foundation. Not only does it help secure homes for veterans that fought for us and our country, but also helps me further along in the competition.

Why is it important to vote every day?

Voting every day is the sure-fire way that I will stay on top in the leaderboards of the competition. Without your support and votes, even the free ones, I will only go so far.

What else do you want your readers to know about you?

I think they would like to know that with winning this competition, I hope to start a non-profit organization that will provide access to free, clean water to those living all over the world. I’m truly passionate about helping people become their best selves as well. I am a certified yoga instructor and one of the greatest rewards is from getting to guide others in yoga is seeing them transform and be lifted out of a stagnant place, energetically. I hope that I can continue to inspire and uplift people and live true to my purpose of changing the world one person at a time through truth, love, and kindness.
