I felt sheer terror throughout this book. It was absolutely riveting. I couldn’t put it down. So very suspenseful. Realistically... most people could never survive this horrible traumatizing plane crash. What he went through just to survive because of the love he had for his family, was so emotional. You wondered throughout if he would survive. I wondered if I would survive the book. The book kept me captivated to the end. The beautiful end. I cried. I loved it! Hopefully, a movie will be made of this book.

Step aside John Maclean Die Hard's hero has nothing over Travis James. A book hard to put down, a story of a basic family man with a will to survive and respect for human life that is missing from many people today. A fantastic journey of incredible physical suffering intertwined with a desire to do the right thing at any cost. A man with an unmatched love for the family he and his wife have created and his determination to return to them all, even in pieces. Highly recommended.

Firth’s Chasm is a book about surviving and determination coupled with integrity and love.
Travis has to overcome the impossible- a plane crash, injuries, unforgiving elements, terrible people, and many doubters. He is constantly trying to prove himself and you can’t help to celebrate his wins. He is the guy you would always want in your corner. His love of family and determination make him able to do anything. This is a book that is impossible to put down.I hope there are more books to follow.

There are some books I will read over and over and this is one of them. Travis is the kind of man that everyone would want to have around them in an emergency. The kind of man who will put his life on the line for a stranger and who will fight to survive no matter what he is faced with. I couldn’t put this down and found that I had to remind myself to breathe more than once. I was captured from the very beginning and felt that way till the end. I was left wanting more.

I really enjoyed this book, and highly would recommend it. I was gripped from the first chapter and absorbed into the world the writer created. The journey of this one man through the Alaskan wilderness and the challenges he endured was a story that will stay with me. And the villain of the piece still gives me nightmares! Great read, looking forward to the author's next book.
