Dear Readers:
I am a fan of fantasy novels, especially when they involve dragons and a world unimagined. Today's BOOK OF THE DAY, "Dance of Dragons: Stones of the Seven" by Allison Rook is an epic read and fills my thirst for a fantasy novel. The adventure that lies within, is remarkable, as the reader is transported to another time and place. I loved the connection between Eryn and the dragon, and the encounters they overcome together. This is a book not to be missed. Order your copy today!

Dance of Dragons: Stones of the Seven: Book Two Paperback – July 27, 2022
by Allison Rook (Author)
Eryn Drysel’s clan lives in fear of the dragons that darken the sky. As her clan’s wise woman, she has forsaken the company of men to study herbs, healing, and lore. But when the dragonsworn decimate her people, she becomes a captive, claimed as property by a man whose bond to his dragon blinds him to the brutality of his fellow warriors. Now Eryn must find a way to survive in the hands of a barbarian.
Dane Rowe’s first love is his dragon. Bloodbonded before she hatched, they share thoughts and emotions. She leads him to a woman wounded in battle, and he claims Eryn as his own, a spoil of the constant war between clans. Certain that even a captive new member of Dragon Clan is superior to any other clan, Dane is shocked when Eryn rejects his affection.
To Dane, Eryn is the smartest, most beautiful woman he’s ever known. To Eryn, Dane is a barbarian, an ignorant brute. She will fight his control and the ways of the dragon clan, no matter the cost. But when her rebellion threatens the dragons that protect them, she must learn to trust his strength and open her heart to his love.

Excellent read. Fast-paced has great action, has good tension, and has captivating characters. Absolutely love the author’s fantasy world in this light romance. Seriously, who doesn’t love dragons? A creative twist on a classic Beauty and the Beast theme. Wonderful diversion. Thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it!

Allison Rook does it again and kept me turning pages. Now I’m out of pages and I’m sad. I love anything with dragons and fantasy and this certainly did not disappoint.

The worldbuilding in this book was incredibly detailed, creating a setting that felt rich and complex.
It's a dark book. Truly awful things happen, but the ending righted it all, leaving us with a warm fuzzy HEA that was definitely earned.
Eryn is a fiery, intelligent woman, and I really enjoyed her perspective. Dane was incredibly sweet, even if his views in the first half were... infuriating. They made him seem young at times--his worldview was incredibly straightforward, with no grasping of the nuance of perspective one gains with experience. But overall I liked him, and his arc was satisfying.
The dragons were awesome. I absolutely loved learning about the magic of binding to them, and how everything played out at the end was just really clever and super well foreshadowed. That was delightful.
Overall, this was an interesting, quick romantic fantasy standalone. I'd recommend it to fans of the Dokiri Brides series by Denali Day(it even kinda felt close to the same heat level).
