Anil was born in Mauritius. He is the fifth child in a family of twelve. From a very young age, he had to do menial jobs to pay for school fees and supplement his family's income. Life was tough. In the days when electricity was a luxury, studying by candlelight was normal. After finishing high school, he joined the teachers’ college. After graduation, he worked as a primary school teacher. Anil has always been curious about life and existence. He was always asking questions about birth and death and our place in the universe. He spent most of his spare time reading and studying all types of religious books until he came across 'Leaves of Grass' by Walter Whitman. He was mesmerized by its content and fell in love with Whitman's prose verses. He also read Robert Maurice Buckes’ 'Cosmic Consciousness' and other authors such as Honore de Balzac, Edward Carpenter, Bartolome Las Casas. When he turned 23, he worked at a remote school. He used to enjoy walking in the afternoons. During one of his walks, he was feeling especially very relaxed and peaceful, and his mind was completely blank, admiring the surroundings when suddenly, without warning, he felt like time stopped. Not a sound, not the slightest movement of leaves on the trees or any sound of birds or crickets. This lasted a while and suddenly he had the most insane experience of his life. He felt that everything around him was part of himself and that there was no distinction between them and him. He could feel them alive and vibrating. He became connected with everything. He could not think but only lived in the moment, absorbing the indescribable love that was emanating from everything he saw and touched. It was a communion impossible to describe. It was beyond anything he had ever experienced before. He was the happiest creature alive, and he did not want the feeling to fade away and enjoyed the trance-like experience as long as it lasted. He guessed it lasted for an hour or so as he noticed some stars twinkling faintly after the sunset and realized it was time to head back home. Since that moment, he was able to answer any questions related to life and spirituality. He had discovered the Truth! He led a peaceful life helping others reach their spiritual goals. He never wished for fame or recognition or sought any publicity. However, recently due to many requests, he decided to write this short book. Anil moved to Sydney Australia, where he is now living with his wife Izabela and son Andrew.
