Tutmozis (Márk Jusztin) - Author Interview

The Legend of the Avatars - The Created World

Tell your readers a little about yourself, where you grew up, where you live now, where you went to school etc. Let them get to know the personal you.

I was born on March 17, 1986, in Kecskemét, Hungary. I did my studies as a graphic designer in Kecskemét. Ever since 2005, my main focus was my hobby, and I've been trying to make it a success all these years. I'm currently living in my hometown and working on other stories from "The Legend of The Avatars" that I created.

What inspired you to author this book?

I've been a fan of the fantasy genre since I was a kid. I read a lot of fantasy books, played games, watched movies and tv shows. Over time, I grew up and wanted to create my own world with my characters and my own scenery. My wife, like my muse, inspired me to implement many ideas.

Where did you get the inspiration for your book’s cover?

The Legend of the Avatars - The Created World is one of the three volumes in this trilogy. The cover of all three volumes (Codex) is described in the stories of the trilogy. In fact, they play a very important role in it. I would like the readers to have the codices that the fantasy trilogy is in their hands.

Who has been the most significant influence on you personally and as a writer?

I was greatly influenced by the writers of the Hungarian Fantasy literature. I have many favorites and I could mention many names whose adventurous stories I grew up with.

What were your struggles or obstacles you had to overcome to get this book written?

While working, I could only write in my spare time. After many years of many little stories, one big one was finally born. It all eventually grew into a trilogy.

Tell your readers about your book.

It is all about creation and the formation of life. The Avatars (as God-endowed beings), playing the Creators, created a world far away in the universe. Avatars brought to life two Ancient Races, magicians and demons. Lord of the Avatars, he empowered the Magi with the Awakening Forces and the Demons with the Dark Forces. The Creators have always been watching the creatures of The Created World. Using fantasy elements, you couldn't miss the story: magicians, demons, warriors, spells, and finally romance.

Who is your target audience, and why?

I recommend the book to teenagers, young adults, and the older audience also. I recommend it to anyone curious, have a good imagination and for the audience who is open about a possible variation in how life develops.

What do you consider your greatest success in life?

My greatest success is my Book, which I wrote in 2005. I've been working on it, expanding it, making it a great book for all the fantasy lovers! My hope is that the book can inspire a lot of people to start or continue to write about whatever they feel passionate about.

What one unique thing sets you apart from other writers in your genre?

In addition to fantasy, I have followed the science fiction genre as my second favorite. It was not by chance that the writing of the other volumes of the trilogy was influenced by the science fiction genre. The past, present, and future of this The Created World, which is so similar to our own. By the end of the trilogy, these stories become so real that in time the reader might realize that they could also be about the creation of our world. Perhaps this is also how our world came to be. Perhaps this is also how we were born.
