When the Tide is Low: 30 Days of Biblical Encouragement for Those Who Love the Ocean
With a sincere appreciation of God's handiwork, “When the Tide is Low” offers 30 days of Biblical encouragement for those who simply love the ocean. Anyone who sees the ocean should take a moment to stand still and truly think about God and his magnificent gifts to us. Some of these gifts are easily seen every day in the form of nature. The ocean’s waves and the tranquility that seems to just sit in the air above the water are quick examples of the magnitude of God’s power. Readers will get a glimpse of how the small, everyday happenings at the beach can show God’s grace, beauty and majesty one day at a time, when the tide seems low in life.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
April Cooper is a Christ-follower, wife, mother to four children, and a daily grace recipient. She holds two master’s degrees and a graduate certificate in pastoral counseling. April also continues in her career as a 20+ years educator. She particularly enjoys working with the very small nonprofit she started several years ago called “Lavender, Lilac and Lilies” which focuses on the gift of encouragement. Lavender, Lilac and Lilies' recipients in the past were those who have celebrated birthdays and milestones while living in shelters, senior centers, group homes, etc. Current recipients receive welcome baskets when moving from homelessness to permanent housing.
April’s free time is typically spent with her family, and dabbling in all types of creative projects. And, of course, you can find her – quite often – at the beach as well!
She firmly believes this book is a testament to what can happen when you wait on the Lord for direction. Each devotion in this book was a gift from God that April believes she was privileged to write.
