Write It.
Forget It. If You Can
Tell
your readers a little about yourself, where you grew up, where you live now,
where you went to school etc. Let them get to know the personal you.
It happened in on the cold evening of 12th
of November 1966. The small town on the north edge of land became my motherland
and the first place that my life started. People around me were primarily men of
few words and friendly. They worked hard and trusted for better times. My life
and my friend’s lives did not look like life nowadays. Childhood, no matter
what anyone says, is the happiest time for every one of us. I didn’t think
about the time - time looked endless. But as all of us sooner or later, I
started to notice that time lost its endless and get invisible stream and
nobody can slow it.
I’ve relocated many times during my life,
changed my job, built a career, married, and raised children. I can’t say when
exactly I’ve noticed that my previous life was becoming a little bit less
tangible - light fog covered some pages of my past. Some details and events
disappeared from memory... and aging was becoming a reality. My vocabulary expanded
with names of illness and medical terms. Depression knocked on my door...
What
inspired you to author your book?
I didn’t want
to give up and wait for what would happen. To resist internal illness, external
challenges, and stresses, I needed to get the fulcrum. I tested different ways
until I noticed that my memories give me a kind of calm and let me go ahead
with minimal vitality losses. Sometime later, I started to recall all my life
so far. I was writing it all out in the journal. Step by step, I plunged deeper
and deeper into my past - more small details and events appeared, the chains of
memories were becoming longer. It took a lot of time. One of the important
things I’ve realized is that the guide journal with prompt could shorten this
path and save time. It inspired me to start to create that journal. I hope it
will be helpful for other people and help them recall their past and get the
fulcrum for self-helping and moving ahead.
Where
did you get the inspiration for your book’s cover?
This question
is complex and straightforward at the same time. Hard because it difficult for
me to understand and explain how I got this idea. I’m not a professional artist
and not to deal with inspiration so often like them. The cover just popped into
my head - and this is the easy answer.
Who
has been the most significant influence on you personally and as a writer?
This book
doesn’t look like a novel, poetry, or a fairy tale, and I can’t call me an
author - this is your personal secret book, and only you is the real author who
recreates your personal life story. This is your own world of emotions, bright
and dark memories. This is the fruit of your own loom, of your whole life. Each
of them who will fill it out is under the significant influence of his own
experience.
What
were your struggles or obstacles you had to overcome to get this book written?
There is no extraordinary here - no huge
struggles or obstacles. As an ordinary person, I had no skill to work with big
massive of information. You know, when there are so many ideas, and you don’t
know which of them to do first, which second. I knew what I want to write about,
but there was no clarity in my head. As I said, I passed this way myself, and
this helped me to get started.

If
you were going to give one reason for anyone looking at your book to read, why
should they buy it?

your hands will be far more than a book and wholly unlike any other journal out
there.
You’ll have the most authentic version
of your life that can ever be told by the person who knows you best.
What
do you consider your greatest success in life?
The answer to this question may be
different. It depends on the stage of life in which the answering lives. As for
me now, I consider my most tremendous success that I could see my life as a
whole and realized that everything is related. So many people have heard or
read about it, but so few have used this for a living. And second, I tried to
bring this idea to others and give them the tool for practical.
