DR. MEL'S MESSAGE - From my novels to my other projects, no telling what you will read. This is the only place you will get to read about how I developed a screenplay into a novel and what is the driving force. I will talk about many things from films to books to acting to producing. It really will depend on where my mind takes me. I hope you will join me on this journey.
Todays BOOK OF THE DAY, "I Am Ok with My Café Au Lait," by L.A. Davis is very special to me for several reasons. First, because it is awesome. The author, L.A. Davis, has created a very special poetry book. It is one of those where you will want to read it over and over. Also, she added bonus coffee recipes that you won't get anywhere but in this book. Finally, I had the pleasure of editing this book and publishing it with Absolute Author Publishing House.
My Café au Lait is my skin, my essence, my beauty. The curtain that I have been draped in. Before getting comfortable, make the Café au Lait recipe provided in the back of this book. Some poems are written as a call and answer so you can read along with your sweet thing! Whether alone or with someone, take a moment, relax, and enjoy some earthy, sultry, reflective poetry that will make you love the skin you are in and the hair you wear.
L.A. Davis earned her Doctorate of Education with an Emphasis in Organizational Development. She was born on the island of St. Thomas and is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. She has written four books and is currently working on a coloring book series for children.
