My name is Niraj Sharma, everyone! Just like rapper sensation Drake,
I am also from Toronto, Canada, where I was born and presently reside. I
attended Centennial College and received my B.A in Criminology from the
University of Ontario Institute of Technology.
What inspired you to author this book?
Pinstripe Lust is
my second novel, as I am relatively new to this industry. What was really the
driving factor was the genre as my story more of a romance novel. My first
novel was more of a crime fiction story with a small romance element, but after
getting a taste of what a love story is like, I couldn't resist and believe
this genre is my true calling! I am currently working a manuscript for the
third story, which will be released later this year - God Willing!
Where did you get the inspiration for
your book's cover?
I got the inspiration for the cover as
the lady represents a very aristocratic spoiled rich girl who falls in love as
the badge and gun element represent the protagonist or the man she loves. He is
an undercover cop with the NYPD. She is a counter girl at her family's luxury
menswear store.
Who has been the most significant
influence on you personally and as a writer?
The most significant persons I should say
that have influenced me through my life is my family and friends as they always
support me in my decisions and wish me nothing but the best in all my future
endeavors. As a writer, my biggest inspiration really and indeed was J.K.
Rowling and her story and situation as she wrote Harry Potter, and today
we all know where she is because if it. When I published my the first novel, The
Penthouse, I made sure I reached out to her and told her how much her and
story meant to me and how it inspired me to write as after all the sky is the
limit!
What were your struggles or obstacles you
had to overcome to get this book written?
There were struggles and trials I have
had to overcome in getting this book written as I find in a romance novel; the
hardest part is completing a love story. To bring the human element and
realness to the table is very crucial for me, so it has to be handled with a
lot of care. But because it requires effort at the same time is rewarding it a
task I faced with great humility and respect.

Pinstripe Lust is
the story of an undercover cop named Vin, who attempts to infiltrate a luxury
menswear store owner named Tony. Tony is involved in organized crime behind the
scenes, and Vin tries to nail him and get evidence. However, he meets Sofia,
who is Tony's sister, and like life, love happens. Vin is now torn between this
girl and upholding the law. How will his investigation end?
Who is your target audience, and why?
My readers are romance novel lovers, as
well as those who enjoy crime fiction.
What do you consider your greatest
success in life?
My greatest success in life, at this
point, was achieving these two novels presently, and my ultimate goal is to do
what I love for my living.
What one unique thing sets you apart from
other writers in your genre?
One unique this that sets myself apart
from others who write in this genre is that I like to go a step further and mix
other elements into the story that make it all the more real. I like to go very
deep into emotion and want to have the power to make my readers either laugh or
cry because I want them to live through the character's eyes while reading as I
do!
