REVIEWS

This book was a blissfully pleasant break from the overused genre. Give me a lesbian paranormal book any day. I'll swallow them in minutes and grin at you afterwards. But they do get a bit repetitive. But I'm a loyal fan to a fault. After I read the first couple pages of this hidden treat, I actually texted my wife and told her 'Lesbian Vampire, Los Angeles, and The Black Death - WOW'. Put that in your coffee and stir it. What a change! It was easy to get lost in it. It's put together in two time frames making it two books in one. They didn't stray too far apart to forget where you are though. The story between the two timelines make the events meaningful and you move with it without whiplash. Its realistic approach to the effects our modern world would have with an ancient city killer was very eye-opening. For being a fanciful work of art that still made you think a bit was nice! Knock the cobwebs of your brain matter a bit. How lovely! Great, fun read!

Great read. Love the back and forth between the present and future. Kept the suspense and my interest.

Great book, I read it each and every free moment. Can't wait to see what this author does next. Keep up the excellent work.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Darlene Burns grew up in Los Angeles, California. She attended L.A.Valley College to study Oceanography, but realized her true passion was creative writing and telling a good story. "I come from a family of talented women. So even though I put off my dreams of writing to raise my children, I challenged myself to become one of those women that I so admire. So after my children were old enough, I returned to writing. My true passion is reading and researching all elements regarding the supernatural. I fell in love with the old movies featuring Vincent Price and Bela Lugosi. I hope that you enjoy my work as much as I enjoyed writing it.
