Aryan Joseph King Known as Aryan King.

It is my pleasure to introduce you to a very talented and dedicated musician. Meet Aryan Joseph King Known as Aryan King who is a Berklee graduate, producer, songwriter, a self-taught blues guitarist, and composer. I think you are in for a real treat!

Describe your style.

Well, the biggest dream and life purpose is to be the best blues guitarist ever. But so far, I'm just going where my heart takes me. So far, it's a mixture of Blues, Blues Rock, Jazz, American Folk.

Who or what has been the greatest influence on your style?

I fell in love with the electric guitar with the poster of Slash holding a Tobacco desert burst Gibson Les Paul hanging on the wall of my mother's guitar store and then the November Rain solo. Afterward, I found my life's purpose when I was in my father's car on the way to school when he played the Gary Moore's Parisienne Walkways. The emotions, that accent in the fingers and that long note... So far, I can say it started by Slash and ended by Gary Moore. These are my top to first ever influences.

How did you get started in your career?

My father! he forced me to play guitar at the age of three. If it wasn't because of him and his great taste of music, I'd never be in the path I am today. He started teaching me, and I participated in his group teaching classes while taught other students. I was on the front row of every single concert he performed, and at every rehearsal. My mother was a flamenco dancer too and that was the beginning of my passion for music.

What struggles or barriers did you face, or are you facing to promote yourself and your work?

My character, I have a quality of disagreeing to change my music to fit the money-making business and that's how I lost a few big promotion offers and label contracts so far. I prefer to stick to the real music --the one that touches heart and emotions instead of just being a hype over the internet.

What life lessons have you learned, and how have they influenced your style?

I have a couple of principles in my life which are:
  • Stay calm in every situation and think logical
  • Listen more than talking
  • Understanding and helping others with no expectations
  • You are not in competition with everyone else in the world.
  • First impressions matter.
  • If you're early, you're on time. If you're on time, you're late. If you're late, you're dead.
  • Perfection is never the goal – the artistry is.
  • Invest in yourself.
  • Live each day to the fullest.

Listen to him play.
