Tell your readers a little
about yourself, where you grew up, where you live now, where you went to school
etc. Let them get to know the personal you.
Born in Texas moved around a lot. I went to junior high and high
school while living in Portland, Texas
I became an atheist and liberal at an early age. As a young man, I was lazy and
untrustworthy. I made friends less than honest persons. After I couldn't find
work anymore or pay my rent. I pack up and hit the road, ending up in
Nashville, Tennessee.
What inspired you to author this
book?
I was an intellectual while growing
up and loved to read anything and everything, even though I keep it a secret
from everyone. I wanted to be a writer ever since I can remember. But I didn't
believe I could, so I didn't try. I think self-improvement inspired me to write
this book. I wanted to improve my writing and I knew this subject.
Where did you get the inspiration
for your book’s cover?
My friends and I had used an Ouija
board a few times with some spooky results. When I thought of spirits an Ouija
board would pop up in my mind. I enjoy making my own book covers and bought
about every how-to book I could find.
Who has been the most significant
influence on you personally and as a writer?
Captain Joe Knoble, now a retired
Major of The Salvation Army. He believed in me and helped me when no one else
did. Buying Amazon Kindle books have helped me to be able to become a writer.
What were your struggles or
obstacles you had to overcome to get this book written?
There are four main things to
overcome. I wasn't a good speller. I couldn't read my own handwriting, could
only type with two fingers, and I had failed English and grammar. Plus my age,
I've only been writing books for a couple of years.
Tell your readers about your book.
This is a book based on my early
experience in spiritualism and the supernatural. While the story plot is
fiction. I believe that the rest may be true. The haunted places are real, and
I have visited them. The Loss Book of Solomon is a real, but I never searched
for it. This book is really I believe Historical Fiction but based on my
history which hasn't been written.
Who is your target audience, and
why?
Those interested in the
supernatural, religion, or ghost stores. You might learn something new and
enjoying the book.
What do you consider your greatest
success in life?
When I graduated from The Salvation
Army Training School for Officers. No one except Captain Knoble though with my
background though I could do college-level work. Most people just tried to
discourage me. So that my greatest success.
What one unique thing sets you
apart from other writers in your genre?
My life experiences and age.

Glen's words of advice: I believe that the secret to becoming successful in life is taking it one step at a time, do not look at the end of a challenge just concentrate on getting through it one step at a time.
Learn from your mistakes as you go forward. By doing this, you will reach your goal before you know it. Remember, quitters never win, and winners never quit. Also, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Your perseverance is the
key to your success. You can only go forward with your life using your
perseverance. Never be afraid of perseverance. Your perseverance will never
kill you. But it will strengthen you and make you more powerful.
You can teach an old dog
new tricks. I'm proof of that. It just takes longer. Only started writing books
in 2019.
When I went to the
Salvation Army Officers Training School, they gave me a folder showing what I
would be doing for the next two years. The courses were college level, and I
only had a high school GED, plus they kept us busy from morning to night with
no summer break. I felt like I was sitting on a beach watching a giant tidal
wave coming at me. I wanted to quiet and runway.
Instead, I repeated my
favorite Bible verse' I do all things through Christ who strengthens me.' I
mentally stepped back and looked at the first thing I had to do and then did
it, then taking each task one at a time I made it through with passing grades.
Whether you believe the Bible is divinely inspired or not, it is full of
wisdom that can help anyone. It helped me to get through two years of the
Salvation Army Training School and earned me two years of college credits. And
showed me I wasn't as dumb as some people thought I was.
The road of life is never
smooth and pain-free, but I have made it further than I ever thought I would.
Yours,
Glen Goodrum
