I was able to take a short break this week and get some much needed rest and recuperation at my beach condo. Don't worry. I didn't go out or leave my condo and sat on my balcony.  I brought everything I needed from home. After having not been out of my house since March 5, 2020, I was ready for a change in scenery.  I am back home now and back at work.

Alfie Cattell, one of the characters in 'Catherine of Liverpool', was my granddad, and the tragic Catherine, was my great aunt. I packed a lot into those early years and sometimes it seems strange to think I left when I was only eighteen to pursue a career in teaching. Over the years, I continued to pack a lot into living; two marriages, three children and now almost five decades of teaching, mostly in England, but since retirement I have spent eight years on the international circuit.
