Sight to See: Seeing is Believing, written by Dr Qooz and illustrated by Irena Urosevic, is a wonderful book for children that could very well open their eyes to a clearer, brighter world. The main character in the story suffers from many problems and is not able to identify the cause of all his troubles until receiving the help and advice of a friend who suggests that the main character may require the help of an optometrist. Glasses soon follow and our main character is amazed at what he has been missing.
Sight to See: Seeing is Believing encourages children - and their parents - to consider whether they are fully equipped to take in the world around them. The message this smart book coveys in a brilliantly illustrated fashion is that many children suffer from not resolving vision-related problems and that providing children with a solution can drastically improve their life experiences.

Both the artwork is cut and bright and the message being conveyed is important and suited for kids from around 6 to 9 years old I think. The language and writing style used seem to sit at a slightly higher maturity level than what the other aspects of the book seem to be geared towards. Which leads me to suggest that this book is better suited for parents and children to read together so that parents can offer answers to questions that may arise. With this adjustment this book is not only educational but entertaining as well. I've never seen a kids book that tackles the subject of vision and optometry, so this is certainly a unique book.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Dr. Qooz™, (pronounced as the plural of “Q”), grew up in one of the strangest lands in all the World, the Everglades of Florida. Naples on the Gulf , was home to the Eagles, manatees, swamp panthers, key deer, crocodiles, ghost orchids and Dr. Qooz.
The visions of pieces of eight and gold doubloons infected Dr. Qooz as a child. Dr. Qooz became a professional treasure hunter using long range electronic equipment to locate hidden treasure. He still treasure hunts today.
As the Everglades were drained, caught fire and frozen, Dr. Qooz moved from Florida South Western State College, Fort Myers, FL, A.K.A. Edison, to Skagit Valley College, in Mount Vernon Washington. Dr. Qooz was a computer company CEO, an inventor of a removable hard drive for computers, working directly in the West Wing of the White House and the and Old Executive Office next door.
Dr. Qooz has 4 girls and 2 boys that gifted him 18 grandchildren and great grandchildren. It was during these visits with the children that he realized the need to share some of his biggest tips for children and parents.
Dr. Qooz, founded the International Orchid Seed Foundation, and traveled the world including Japan, Mexico, Cayman Islands, Chile, Bahamas, England, France, Philippines, Germany, Turkey, Canada, all USA states, and a few destinations that still don’t have names on our maps.
As a child, Dr. Qooz remembers family stories being told before TV was in the house, as an adult he heard international stories that have survived time, as a valedictorian of life, Dr. Qooz has decided to publish some of these stories that kept him spell bound though out life.
Children’s stories have been recorded in print for several hundred years. A family’s most valued treasures has been its stories. Most of our stories and family heritage is lost in the memory fade that comes with age.
Dr. Qooz’ teachers and parents encouraged him to read, read, read. With a book there are no limitations on the mind, you can go anywhere and do anything inside book travel.
